P-E-M Upgrades E-Mail to Exchange 2010!

On Friday July 16th we will migrate our current Exchange 2007 e-mail server data over to our new Exchange 2010 e-mail server. The primary reason for doing this is a lack of storage space on the current server.

As a result of this change there will be a few changes you will need to know about. The “Check E-mail From Home” link will now be https://exchange.isd2899.k12.mn.us/owa which will be changed on the website shortly.

The look of the web access will also be slightly different, although you will find it is quite similar to the current version we have. Click on the links below to view screen shots of what our new web access e-mail will look like.

Friday morning we will begin directing e-mail traffic from the current (old) server to the new server. Once I have begun that process I will begin migrating (moving) your mailboxes from the old server to the new server. You don’t need to log out of the system but if you are in the system while the move is occurring you will get a message indicating you must log out and then log back into the new web access. That will be all you need to do.

If you have questions feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment here.
